Happy Friday afternoon! It has been a very busy week at The Latino Newsletter.
Before I talk about our latest podcast episode with the amazing Maritza Félix of Conecta Arizona, I need to take a minute and thank Jerónimo Saldaña for doing this during DNC week:
I don't think I can thank @JeronimoSaldana enough for volunteering this week for @LatNewsletter, saying "hold my beer" and then creating 16 captioned videos of Latina and Latino @DNC speakers.
Proof of concept done.

Jerónimo volunteered to do this.
Thank you, homie.
A few of the last videos from Thursday night are at the end of this post. The entire playlist is here. And yes, we have a disclaimer.
For all the videos we are posting this week featuring Latino and Latina voices at the DNC, we have access to the free livestream. This does not mean that we endorse at all the Democratic Party or its positions. We are independent journalists and sharing public information for our… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Okay, on to Episode 4 of The Latino Newsletter podcast.
Maritza dropped several mics to present an image of Arizona that rarely gets discussed in the national political dialogue. At one point, Maritza broke it down so well that it felt like a crash course in Latino voters and how best to reach them in this critical swing state for Democrats and Republicans.
Enjoy the show!

We also post all episodes here.
What We’re Watching
To complete the DNC video work, Jerónimo clipped and captioned four Thursday DNC speeches featuring Latina and Latino speakers.
Eva Longoria (The “She Se Puede” Speech)
Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego
Florida Rep. Alejandro Maxwell Frost
California Sen. Alex Padilla
As we mentioned, we did not capture videos of ALL Latina and Latino voices at the DNC, but we were able to feature 16 of them. We have received many comments about what some of the speakers said. That is all we want here: engagement, debate and discussion.
¡Jerónimo!
Happy weekend. Rest up.
Julio
