Javier A. Juarez

As Executive Director of the Latino Equity Fund at The Boston Foundation, Javier A. Juarez leads a bold mission to close opportunity gaps and advance economic and social justice for more than one million Latinos across Massachusetts through philanthropy. His leadership is grounded in resilience, community power, and a deep commitment to building a more equitable future for the Commonwealth. Under Javier’s leadership, the Latino Equity Fund has supported more than 60 organizations and invested over $2.7 million in grants and sponsorships while doubling the Fund’s endowment. He has been recognized for his impact and leadership as a Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, an ALX100 honoree by We Are ALX, and a recipient of the Boston Chamber Foundation’s Ten Outstanding Young Leaders Award. Javier holds a master’s degree in American Studies from Brown University and serves as a Visiting Scholar at the Mauricio Gastón Institute at UMass Boston. Drawing on both lived experience and academic insight, he works to strengthen the Latino nonprofit ecosystem and elevate Latino leadership across Massachusetts.
