At The Latino Newsletter, our journalism is rooted in accuracy, accountability, and service to our communities. We maintain full editorial independence in all our reporting, analysis, podcasts, videos, and opinion pieces, ensuring that our work is never influenced by donors, advertisers, or outside interests.
We welcome financial support from individuals, organizations, and foundations who believe in our mission to amplify Latino voices. However, funding does not grant donors any say in our editorial content, coverage decisions, or journalistic priorities.
All editorial decisions —including story selection, framing, and publication— are made solely by our publisher, , and our editorial team. Our reporting is guided by journalistic integrity, not financial interests or external viewpoints.
We are committed to transparency. If a donor is connected to a story we publish or writes an opinion piece that we decide to feature, we will disclose that relationship to our readers. We do accept opinion pieces from organizations committed to uplifting the voices of the U.S. Latino community. Our audience’s trust is paramount, and we uphold the highest standards of ethical journalism.
