Donor and Financial Transparency

Via Canva
At The Latino Newsletter, we are committed to full transparency in how we fund our work. Through our fiscal sponsor Tiny News Collective, we rely on the generous support of individuals, organizations, and foundations who share our mission to amplify Latino voices and perspectives.
While we appreciate this support, financial contributions do not influence our editorial decisions, coverage priorities, or the integrity of our journalism. Our editorial independence remains absolute, and all content decisions are made solely by our publisher, Julio Ricardo Varela, and our editorial team.
To maintain transparency, we publicly list all donors who contribute to The Latino Newsletter. A complete list of our supporters is available here. We also disclose larger foundation donors on our site. For example, this public post shares information about who funded us in 2024.
As we grow and receive more funding, we will begin to publicly list categories and amounts on this site.
We do not accept donations that come with conditions on our coverage. Our mission is to serve our community with independent, fearless journalism, and we uphold the highest ethical standards in everything we do.
